來自 Air cargo world的消息說,UPS將其在菲律賓克拉克機(jī)場(chǎng)的亞太轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)中心遷移到深圳機(jī)場(chǎng),并且于2010年運(yùn)營。而此前的FedEx,已將其在菲律賓蘇比克灣的亞太轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)中心遷移到白云機(jī)場(chǎng),并于2008年底全面運(yùn)營。再加上在香港的DHL,四大航空快遞巨頭的三家,都分別在我國珠三角的香港、廣州、深圳布局了亞太轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)中心,顯示他們的加大中國市場(chǎng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng),爭(zhēng)奪中國市場(chǎng)的決心。此前早些時(shí)候,人們一直在討論珠三角機(jī)場(chǎng)的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)問題,然而,現(xiàn)在看來,如果從貨運(yùn)的角度看,究竟是機(jī)場(chǎng)的競(jìng)爭(zhēng),還是航空快遞巨頭的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)?卻是值得我們思考的問題。但是,不管怎樣,珠三角地區(qū)巨大的貨運(yùn)市場(chǎng)與發(fā)展機(jī)遇卻是不爭(zhēng)的事實(shí)。以2007年為例,三大機(jī)場(chǎng)的航空貨運(yùn)吞吐量總計(jì)達(dá)到500多萬噸。尤其重要的是,隨著我國對(duì)北部灣地區(qū)的開發(fā),以及東盟地區(qū)的聯(lián)合、再加上廣東省的“9+2”計(jì)劃,這一地區(qū)的航空貨運(yùn)市場(chǎng)將會(huì)加速發(fā)展,無論是白云機(jī)場(chǎng)、深圳機(jī)場(chǎng)、還是香港機(jī)場(chǎng),都不愿意放棄這塊市場(chǎng),而航空快遞巨頭們卻恰好落個(gè)“順?biāo)饲?rdquo;,抓住機(jī)場(chǎng)的這種心理,討個(gè)好的價(jià)錢。
附英文消息:UPS Moves Asian Hub to Shenzhen
UPS said Wednesday it will move its main air hub for Asia from the Philippines to Shenzhen in China‘s industrial southern region, a sign of the rapid change in the economic trading balance in Asia.
While UPS said it would be holding back on certain corporate investments because of rising fuel prices and the weak U.S. economy, the company said it would continue to push forward with its expansion plan for China.
The company’s new intra-Asian hub will be at the Shenzhen airport in southern China, near Hong Kong, slashing at least a day off shipment times-in-transit for Asian customers while boosting service in the manufacturing region immediately to the north.
Expected to go operational in 2010, the new hub is being developed at an estimated cost of about $180 million.
